  Re: Bulk Ording Downside?

(...) Easy there cowboy. Try and look at the big picture. Bulk is berry, berry good in every way and here's why. Take the roof bricks pack for example. I have purchased dozens of those and am left over with many elements I don't want. Bulk lets me (...) (24 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: Custom Kits & Communications

(...) How about going to: www.bricksmiths.com. We don't have a single list of items for sale at a single time, because some stuff is constant (my 2 smaller kits for example), and some stuff (for example my Tyne Dock hopper) is limited production.   Custom Kits & Communications

(...) I missed Dan's offerings. Larry, I have seen your hopper cars. Does anyone have a comprehensive list of sets being sold by individuals? I would guess it's short and sporadic. (...) Really? When and how did Brad say this? (...) I agree. I'd (...) (24 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Bulk Ording Downside?

I just wanted to voice my concerns about the aparent downside to the Lego Company's new method of selling parts. While I love the idea of being able to order bulk parts, especially when they are special parts the you normally have to buy several (...) (24 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Brickmania calls it quits on custom model kits

In lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, Todd Lehman writes: <Dan Siskind is exiting the custom kit biz, but may make a CD of instructions available at some point> (...) Can you, or Brad, elaborate on this? It begs a lot of questions: - Any restrictions on (...) (24 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Lego Direct vs S@H (was Re: Can you a 5' credit card for me?)

I would add to Larry's statement about life being much richer. LUGNET has enriched my life and LEGO's pockets. Being able to share ideas with like minded people (train heads in my case) has made my LEGO hobby a great deal more fun. Before finding (...) (24 years ago, 1-Aug-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Lego Direct vs S@H (was Re: Can you a 5' credit card for me?)

(...) I agree and further, I'd posit that it may not really matter in the large scheme of things that LD the division has S@H (LSAH) the org in its org chart but for branding reasons LD the brand is separate from S@H the brand. Who cares really? I (...) (24 years ago, 1-Aug-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Lego Direct vs S@H (was Re: Can you a 5' credit card for me?)

(...) Todd, I think you are fighting a loosing battle. The semantical problem created between LD and S@H is as a direct result of poor communication on behalf of LD and the infrequent posts here on Lugnet. This is furthered by a slow to react Lego (...)   Re: Can you a 5' credit card for me?

(...) Actually, LEGO Direct doesn't actually sell anything. LEGO Direct is TLC's "consumer-facing entity" online and offline. LEGO Shop At Home is the business that sells the bricks. (...) I think LEGO Direct may actually be more worldwide (at least (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.build, lugnet.lego.direct)
