Re: Calling Out the Man Behind the Curtain! (was Re: How Many Cypress Trees Would You Order?)

(...) I can see why it *would be* a price point that LD would go with. I'm not sure if it's realistic or not because it's a different plastic so I can't draw parallels from say, 3313 prices. (...) I'd like to see a price closer to 20 cents each in (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jun-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Calling Out the Man Behind the Curtain! (was Re: How Many Cypress Trees Would You Order?)

(...) Well Lar, I ask you this: Do you find $0.75 USD for a cypress tree a realistic price? What would you propose in the alternative? And anyway, I thought you were Mr. Moneybags? I thought I would never ask this, but TLC is SO bloody slow with (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jun-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Pandora's box has officially been opened:-) As for your analysis of the tank car, I think you are correct-- the ladder shouldn't penetrate the tank cylinder, but rather run up the outside of it. (...) I'm just not seeing that as a "lot". Certainly it's not a whole woodlot because it isn't a lot of wood. Forests have thousands of trees. Can you see a whole module carpeted with an assortment of these, the smaller ones, J1's trees, etc? Most (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jun-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)
