  Re: A letter to Todd

(...) To each his own. We all should be VERY grateful to Todd and Suzanne for all they have done. Shame on those who have nitpicked what Todd has created for all of us to enjoy. When I came ot of my dark ages and discovered LEGO trains, I was (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.admin.nntp, lugnet.general, lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Still time to enter the LEGO Train Contest

(...) I've entered a couple models of my own as well. And as for the issue of legal rights to our designs? Well, we must remember that LEGO is a fun pasttime and I know that I can never make a living off building with these either. So if LEGO takes (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Still time to enter the LEGO Train Contest

  Re: A letter to Todd

(...) Just a couple of nits to pick: One, TLC can't "pull rank," although I'm sure that's not literally what you meant. Two, editorial control was not exercised, so "censor" isn't really accurate. --Todd (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.admin.nntp, lugnet.general, lugnet.lego.direct)

In lugnet.admin.nntp, Kyle D. Jackson writes: <snip> (...) THANK YOU! This really did explain more to me than everything else combined. Now if this had been posted 2 or three days ago, it would have been even better, lol!! But really - Thank you. (...) (...) was a Good Thing. Particularly in light of some of the less than rosy incidents that have occurred between TLC and LUGNET in the past[1]. You are right that TLC is a company and the things they do are for business purposes, not primarily the (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Official vs. unofficial LEGO postings

(...) I agree that it would be a little presumptuous to dictate to TLC too much about _how_ dealings should occur (as in expecting unreasonble things to happen), but it's not presumptuous at all to dictate (or let's say specify) _where_ official (...)   Re: Official vs. unofficial LEGO postings

(...) One quick thing I haven't mentioned in much detail yet: the way groups are coalesced currently in the web view will probably always be a default view, but there will be other views (customizable) and folders to store personal article (...)
