Actually, there's one other bit of info related to this: It came to my
attention this week that the name "LEGO Direct" has nothing to do with bulk
ordering, which will instead be conducted under the name LEGO Shop At Home
(or similar) on www.lego.com. My understanding is that for legal and/or tax
reasons, the two are separate businesses (and have been for many months).
Thus, LEGO Direct is Brad Justus's business unit involved in website creation
and community, not in the business of selling to consumers. I believe that
Steve Hawco's role is in the S@H side of LD and that Brad Justus's role is
in the community side of LD -- but some of the details are still fuzzy to me
at this point. Hoping to meet with Brad and/or Steve in person to learn more.
In any case, the lugnet.lego.direct group is, to the best of my knowledge,
mis-named with respect to its purpose.
