I would say 10% is way high - take a look at my stats for 2 different non-lego
sites I either run or help out on (neither of them have anything to do with each
other). These stats are starting from 6-1-04:
(platform hits percentage)
Windows XP 77722 63.08%
Windows 98 26594 21.58%
Windows 2000 11881 9.64%
Macintosh 4147 3.36%
Other 1100 0.89%
Windows 95 719 0.58%
Windows NT 524 0.42%
Linux 2 324 0.26%
WebTV 99 0.08%
Windows ME 69 0.05%
Windows 3.1 12 0.00%
FreeBSD 10 0.00%
IRIX 3 0.00%
SunOS 5 2 0.00%
OS/2 1 0.00%
:
Windows 95.38% - Mac 3.36% - Unix 0.27% - Other 0.97%
------------------------------------------
Windows XP 493311 58.86%
Windows 98 193659 23.10%
Windows 2000 84749 10.11%
Macintosh 42511 5.07%
Other 9478 1.13%
Windows 95 5757 0.68%
Linux 2 4101 0.48%
Windows NT 2833 0.33%
Windows ME 791 0.09%
WebTV 456 0.05%
FreeBSD 148 0.01%
Windows 3.1 118 0.01%
SunOS 5 57 0.00%
OS/2 19 0.00%
Amiga 11 0.00%
IRIX 7 0.00%
HP-UX 3 0.00%
AIX 3 0.00%
OSF1 1 0.00%
Windows 93.22% - Mac 5.07% - Unix 0.51% - Other 1.18%
-------------------------------------------------
This holds true on my personal Lego sites as well also (Land of Bricks and
PromoBricks) -- Mac is only about 5%
