Re: LEGO reports improved financial results

(...) I'm glad to see that gross margin is improving and that "Make and Create" has been successful. I think these two factors are linked. Its good to see Lego get back to basics and make more money out of it too. I just wish I could see (...) (21 years ago, 7-Apr-05, to lugnet.lego)

(...) Forbes has a (URL) positive spin> than the TLC press release: Struggling Danish toy maker Lego Systems A/S Wednesday said its full-year net loss more than doubled as sales fell.   Re: LEGO reports improved financial results

(...) Well even though TLG is downsizing, it looks like they are headed in the right direction. This is good news for all AFOLs (except of course for those few who publicly stated that they wish ill will on TLG). Looks like a sizeable part of the (...) (21 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.lego)

Community outreach by LEGO, the adult fan base ("AFOLs") and legofactory.com are specifically mentioned in the annual report. Check it out. -- Bryan "Allan Bedford" <AllanBedford-DELETE...otome.com> wrote in message news:IEJ1CG.1AEJ@lugnet.com... (...) (21 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.lego)

Re: LEGO reports improved financial results

(...) That's some heroic spin from our man Jorgen. See this: The result after tax for the year was DKK -1,931m compared with DKK -935m in 2003. Obviously, all the cost-cutting is good news, and once they unload the parks they'll be in much better (...) (21 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

  LEGO reports improved financial results

LEGO has released their annual report for 2004 and it looks like there is some good news! (URL) came into my Inbox via Google alerts, with this link: (URL) up the great work! Best regards, Allan B. (21 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego) !!

Re: How does this ruling affect using Lego in domain names?

(...) I kinda doubt it. There isn't much recourse Lego has when it comes to *forcing* you to change your domain name, but it can waste your time (and its time) with legal proceedings, I'm sure. Sorta like the old BrickBay vs. Ebay. Ebay could easily (...) (21 years ago, 5-Apr-05, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

How does this ruling affect using Lego in domain names?

From an article on (URL) CNN>, an appeals court ruled that: "But the appeals court disagreed, saying the Web site was not created to make a profit or to confuse ... customers and potential clients.   LEGO to loose their patent rights in EU??

Hi, I just read in a danish newspaper that LEGO is about to loose its right to be the sole seller of bricks and so that look like LEGO. It seems that the company called Best-Lock won some kind of trial. Anyone know more about this?? link to danisk (...) (21 years ago, 29-Mar-05, to lugnet.lego)

Re: Reply 6: Issues vs. Mistakes

(...) I'm working with Dan from Peeron, colleagues and others to finalize the color chart namings. We should have that soon. The reasons for the delay are long, involved, and uninteresting.   Re: Reply 6: Issues vs. Mistakes

(...) Source? (...) According to the List of Lego colours at Peeron, No. 5 is "Brick Yellow". This is the only internal name I know. Is there an official source where they call the colour Nr. 5 "Beige"? (...) I think this whole tread started with (...) (21 years ago, 18-Mar-05, to lugnet.color, lugnet.lego)

Re: Reply 6: Issues vs. Mistakes

(...) Boy, talking about communication issues... If the company itself can't pick a single name for a color and stick with it, what else can we trust them with?   Re: Reply 6: Issues vs. Mistakes

(...) I'm keeping out of the color discussions, but I can answer this one. The 'Beige' on the list IS what we know as Tan. At LEGO, this color is known both as 'Brick Yellow' and also 'Beige' - color number 05 on the LEGO color chip pallette. Quite (...) (21 years ago, 17-Mar-05, to lugnet.color, lugnet.lego)
