Re: HP Hogwarts Express and normal 9V trains?

(...) Bachman is correct. I saw it today in TRU and it is a nice little set - the engine, a tender, and two coaches (both different), plus an oval of track and a speed regulator. A bit pricey at $69.99, however, but that's licensing costs for you. (...) (23 years ago, 30-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.trains)

Re: Modifications to Hagrid's Hut - A New Roof

(...) Great job! And MUCH better than the orgami thingie that the set came with. I knew someone on Lugnet would redo it for us. Kudos! Katie (23 years ago, 30-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: 4709 Hogwart's Castle found.

(...) That is SOO00ooo cool!!!...!!! I love 'Army of Darkness.' I opt for the Ash approach “Good, bad; we’re the guys with the crossbows!” Sincerely, --==RiçhärÐ==-- (23 years ago, 29-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: LotR won't happen

(...) I would love to see that, should you complete it. I'm betting that the new Star Wars Ewoks will prove invaluable. Tim wrote: While they are indeed minifigs, the more appropriate term might be "mini" minifigs - they are definitely of a smaller (...)   RE: Any HP sets in Canada?

Hello from Kitchener, The local TRU had pretty well all of them ...train, castle, small sets, ... must have had about 8 different sets. I bought my two boys the small set with the spinning wheel at Walmart in Kitchener...$9.86 Cdn. Walmart had the (...) (23 years ago, 29-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.loc.ca)

LotR won't happen (was Re: 4707 Hagrid's Hut complaints....)

(...) Lord of the Rings LEGO isn't going to happen. New Line Cinema has awarded the construction toys license to Playmates Toys(1), which I find really baffling, since they don't have squat to do with construction toys, but such is life. I'm (...)   Re: HP Hogwarts Express and normal 9V trains?

(...) If there's any truth to the licensing, then they've certainly done the next best thing. Make a non-train train set with parts which minimize the cost, but provide instructions for how to use your own train parts (or parts from S@H) to turn it (...)   4709 Hogwart's Castle found.

Well for $90 USD this set was kind of a let down. As a $60 set it would have been good. Lots of good bits in the set. The Knight's head is the same as peeves but the knight has no printing on the torso. It is just plain grey. Harry has a violet cape (...) (23 years ago, 29-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: 4707 Hagrid's Hut complaints....

(...) Well as I see it, or rather read it, HP will not be Disney-esque. That assumes the director does not make a reversal on his position of following the book as closely as possible. HP will be on the fine line between PG and PG-13. LOTR on the (...) (23 years ago, 29-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: 4707 Hagrid's Hut complaints....

(...) If this is true this is the first I have heard of it. While there do seem to be some new elements, I am very wary of the arguement that having to make new elements is some kind of deal maker or breaker on set design for TLC -- I have said it (...)
