Re: Any HP sets in Canada?

(...) I managed to catch Walmart in Sherwood Park while they were doing their fall toy re-org, and caught a semi-knowledgable employee... no estimate on when the HP stuff would be in, but she did know that it wouldn't be a shelf-stocked item (at (...)   Re: Any HP sets in Canada?

I checked a local TRU today and was told they'd have the Harry Potter sets 'early or middle of October' and I checked a Walmart and they're Lego selection was pretty poor, as usual, and no HP. Couldn't even find an employee to ask. Oh well. Adam (...) (23 years ago, 27-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.loc.ca)

Long Running Movie Series (Re: Lego discontinuing Ninja series?)

(...) But on that basis, you'd have the Bond movies in the list two (or three) times, not eliminate them altogether. (...) And don't forget Adam West ;-) Cheers Richie Dulin (23 years ago, 27-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: Any HP sets in Canada?

I was told last week by the big downtown Toronto Toys R Us that the Harry Potter sets have arrived in the Canadian TRU warehouses on the 15th of September, and could wind up on the shelves "within a day or within a month." I've been checking three (...) (23 years ago, 25-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Lego discontinuing Ninja series?

(...) I can see Keith's point. The difference with Bond and Batman is that the lead was played by a few different people. Slightly different casts wouldn't matter, or else Superman could be put there. However, Superman retained Christopher Reeve in (...) (23 years ago, 27-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  4707 Hagrid's Hut complaints....

Hey Y'all: Does anyone else think that the origami-nightmare roof ABSOLUTELY sucks? I pre-folded the flaps and they still did not go easily together when I was placing the rubberband at the tip. Sometimes these plastic sheet elements make sense, and (...) (23 years ago, 27-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: Lego discontinuing Ninja series?

(...) What a strange judgement... Exclude Bond or Batman, and you'd better exclude Star Wars. And Jurrassic Park. Rocky and Indiana Jones retained the same lead, but definitely had "numerous different cast members". And you'd better exclude Harry (...) (23 years ago, 27-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: Any HP sets in Canada?

(...) Any luck this week? I was thinking of looking in Metrotown, the the fact that the TRU is located on the other side of the mall from the Sky Train Station and they rerouted all the bus routes makes it somewhat of an inconvience. (23 years ago, 25-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Lego discontinuing Ninja series?

Bond doesn't count; either does Batman since they contain numerous different cast members. Superman is one, though, that can't be forgotten. KEith (...) ___...___ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at (URL) (23 years ago, 25-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Dig that Crazy Turban!

The purple turban is mine, thanks to my local Wal-Mart (Richmond, VA) breaking out the HP sets yesterday morning. Of the sets I nabbed, 4702 The Final Challenge is the only one I've opened - and that's because I HAD to see that purple turban. The (...) (23 years ago, 26-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: Lego discontinuing Ninja series?

(...) And about 12 Friday the 13ths, 7 Nightmares on Elm Street, but if you want movies with 30 or 40 installments, you're getting into the little shuttered cloister at the video store, I think. Ew. LFB (23 years ago, 26-Sep-01, to lugnet.castle.ninja, lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: Harry Potter Minifig Pictures Posted

(...) This is about the best news I could get right now (and will remain so until Sunday, when I find out if I got into Haifa U's excellence program!)... sorry, I digress. Those figs are great. Wish I had the money/means to buy them right now, but (...) (23 years ago, 25-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: Lego discontinuing Ninja series?

WOW.. Forgot about James.. and he's one of my fav. characters too.. hmm.. RE: HP Sets I'm sorry, but the sets really disappointed me. I mean, the new peices are awesome, the minifigs look great, and the sets are very true to most aspects of the (...) (23 years ago, 24-Sep-01, to lugnet.castle.ninja, lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: knights armor in set 4709?

(...) Hmm, I'm not so sure that would be a good deal... I just recently won a 7740 for less than I paid for my Yellow Castle.... Of course I passed up on calling someone in the UK up about a 7740 for less than $100, someone out there probably got a (...) (23 years ago, 24-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.castle)

Re: HP Hogwarts Express and normal 9V trains?

(...) Thank you, sir! (...) Hey Lar, can you demo this at Briskfest 2002? :-) I can do it blindfolded, but need 2 hands. Hey, I am a tuba player, you know, not all that coordinated. :-) Thanx Mark #525 (23 years ago, 24-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Lego discontinuing Ninja series?

(...) The answer to your question: Bond. James Bond. 20 or so movies. I shudder to think how many Tarzan movies have been made. Sherlock Holmes - just counting the ones with Basil Rathbone would be a lot. I'm sure there are more. And regarding the (...) (23 years ago, 23-Sep-01, to lugnet.castle.ninja, lugnet.harrypotter)
