  Re: new set connectability?

(...) Some sets that's true (most of 4730), others its not. For example, if you take off the green roof bits of 4735 slytherin, it's not nearly as tall as the module needs to be to work with the other modules, which are all thirteen bricks tall (...)   Re: new set connectability?

(...) Not if it was situated in a part of the castle that is only two floors high. I think expecting total realism from a LEGO(R) toy building set is not realistic. Build your own Hogwarts(R) castle, with your own Harry Potter(R) and Hermione (...) (22 years ago, 27-Sep-02, to lugnet.harrypotter)

mistake in my 4733 "Dueling Club"

Stopped at the LEGO Imagination Center at the Mall of America today, and picked up a couple of the new Harry Potter sets. Much to my surprise, the first one I opened had a mistake in it! My Harry minifig has the wrong torso -- he doesn't have his (...) (22 years ago, 27-Sep-02, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: new set connectability?

I think you are supposed to take the sand green roof pieces off, and then you find that they stack nicely. Of course, i don't own any of them, but I can see it in the pictures rather clearly. -Alfred (...) (22 years ago, 27-Sep-02, to lugnet.harrypotter)

"William R Ward" <bill@wards.net> wrote in message news:m2elbfdvkf.fsf@...rds.net... (...) Even so, Hogwarts castle has many more than just one floor above the ground floor. A first floor bathroom would logically still have other rooms above it. (...) (22 years ago, 27-Sep-02, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: new set connectability?

(...) In England, and in fact most places outside the USA, "first floor" is not the ground floor, but the one above. Could this explain the problem? --Bill (22 years ago, 27-Sep-02, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: Harry Potter (CofS) and monster sets good for new elements

(...) The shield itself is black. (the set also comes with a light gray sword.) John (22 years ago, 26-Sep-02, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.castle)

  Re: new set connectability?

I disagree with Kecia. I have the new sets, and while they may seem like they are part of the modular design, there are many "topper" modules. Most aren't able to have other sets stacked ot top of them, only able to "sit" on other modules. ie:what (...) (22 years ago, 26-Sep-02, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: Harry Potter (CofS) and monster sets good for new elements

(...) What is not apparent on the pictures is dark grey dragon wings (looks great on a black dragon) and a dark grey scorpion. 4 cylinder pieces are plain grey, 4 are grey with stone pattern print. Arne, Copenhagen (22 years ago, 26-Sep-02, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.castle)

thanks for the quick reply, this new stuff looks great...

When I look at the picture though, I am seeing a few of the first generation sets have been removed from the overall model. (22 years ago, 25-Sep-02, to lugnet.harrypotter)
