(...) Well, they vary. The ones I like aren't all that right angled. See, for instance: (URL) and look at the first truck in the "mining" row. Or the caterpillar site (talk about hard to use, though) (URL) That's a much smaller dump (I refer to the (...) (25 years ago, 29-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) The largest LEGO Technic wheels are consistently just above 8 cm in diameter, which is pretty close to ten studs. You'll find wheels like that on (2 URLs) (25 years ago, 29-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) Those ARE nice wheels but I feel that the tires are not tall enough in proportion to the wheel for this application, the wheel is 6 of those 10 studs, and the tires are only 2 each side (or so) If you look at the proto photos it appears that (...) (...) Oops! Yep, I meant the 8448, which is the second model this year to have the largest wheels available in LEGO. Sorry. (...) Yes, I really agree with you on that. (...) Having reread the thread, it appears to me that you've used the wheels from e.g. 8868 (URL) wheels are smaller than the ones from the Black Cat (5571) and look much like the larger ones from 8860. If you can get the wheels from 8860 (and (...) (25 years ago, 29-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

I'm honestly not sure which wheels I used. I will have John Neal read off the info on the side of the tire next time he's there, if he would be so kind, or I will, next time I am in Minneapolis, which may not be for a while...
