Well, I've come out of my Dark Ages full force - now I'm into buying
old/discontinued sets.  Any day now I expect to feel the creeping
desire for a Guarded Inn steal over me as it seems to do every other
LEGO Castle enthusiast...

But anyway, I saw the 1999 catalog.

Well, one page of it.

OK, it was in a dream.

But I'll describe it anyway.  It was a very odd catalog page, because
it mixed stuff that was definitely Ninja with other stuff that strongly
resembled Classic (blue-n-grey) Space, and I think an insectoids set but
I can't be sure.

I remember looking hard for the Ninja set that had the old guy with the
beard and the funny hat, and I couldn't find it in the picture.  There
was another tower-looking structure in the regular Ninja color scheme,
and a small house (front and sides only) in red, yellow and blue, with
a roof that lifted off so you could look inside and see the younger
samurai guy sitting in a chair, drinking something, and I kid you not,
watching TV footage of the moon landing.

I think I need to lay off the spicy chili before bedtime.

Well, what do you think, sirs?

J

(...) No sweat Very often I have a dream that I am in some shop and notice either old discontinued sets or sets that I really want (ie - 40 knights in one castle minifig pack - that's how they SHOULD make them;) So I could either say that the ID is (...)
