Paul, doesn't M:Tron have trans-chartreuse windows & elements (as does Unitron
Exploriens, UFO, etc...)?

Actually, the black & purple concept was based off of Sci-Fi's greatest menace,
the Decepticons. Cyclonus provides a better example of your non-machinery
painted color scheme (He is purple in jet mode over all but his outer wings and
engines, as well as his nose mounted incindiary weapons.) However, Skywarp has
his exhaust ports and rudders painted a pink-ish lavender and Starscream's
intake ports are painted bright red.
