  Decreasing comments in set listings.

Hello, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, hopefully it is. Has anybody else noticed the significant decrease in comments posted in the set listings? Five or six years ago you could get 90+ comments for some of the most popular (...) (16 years ago, 26-Nov-08, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Alternate model for 8271

(...) Hi Anders, Nice work! I already noticed your model on brickshelf earlier. Actually my first LEGO project was the 8674 Ferrari F1, but this wheel loader is indeed much more affordable! ;-) I've seen quite a few alternatives now for this set and (...)   New 2009 sets at Toys-R-Us!

Neat marketing tip for Technic sets?

We all know how TLG always includes instructions to build two different main models in their Technic range. How about if they don't tell people what the secondary model is on the box? IOW, you would only find out what the second model was after you (...) (16 years ago, 14-Nov-08, to lugnet.general, lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: Beating up, kicking, and verbally abusing an old dead rotted horse...

(...) Compiling pre-existing code with the latest Visual C++ won't introduce the .NET framework into an app. The app would have to be rewritten to use .NET in order to get a .NET dependency in, so that's not an issue. Apps compiled with Visual (...) (16 years ago, 12-Nov-08, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.general)

Re: Beating up, kicking, and verbally abusing an old dead rotted horse...

Re: Beating up, kicking, and verbally abusing an old dead rotted horse...

(...) My understanding is that the new Wine supports the .NET framework using MONO (open source implementation of nearly all of .NET). I think it is older programs, and game-like programs (like LEGO's designer) that it has trouble with. -Chris Gray (16 years ago, 7-Nov-08, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.general)

Re: Beating up, kicking, and verbally abusing an old dead rotted horse...

(...) It is indeed written using MFC, which it makes extensive use of for the GUI. Porting it to another platform would take considerable effort.
