A search for 2 x 2 x 8 on Peeron yielded up a short list of results that
contained this
That appears to be exactly what youve got, though they dont have any inventory
lists showing red ones. Or white ones, which is odd, because those are the two
that are shown in the photo.
Anyways, the groove on the sides is probably designed to work with the
garage door panels:

| Hello, I have been on a pick-a-brick-type of sale; you pick the bricks you want from large box'es and fill a bag, and you pay only a fixed prices for each bag. Most of the time it is not parts that I want or strange parts, i.e: when you find a wing, (...) (20 years ago, 31-Oct-04, to lugnet.general)
