If I have to sum it up in one word I would say WHATEVER!
Not real sure when my fun of LEGO went down the tube. I’ve noticed that this
year 2004 I’ve spend very few time using LDraw, making any BIs, and actually
playing with the brick itself. Can’t really say the “color issue” did it for
me, or the “new castle sets”, or lack of sets to appeal to me. I look at my
LEGO room with models build, a clostest full of unopen LEGO, 4 K8 boxes full of
brick that I have be given from family members who went yard sale shopping in
the past 2 years and I guess I’m “LEGOED OUT”. Sort of the same thing with Star
Wars. I still love STAR WARS but I don’t care for the direction the new movies
are going. Same with LEGO, I think.
I’m writing this more for myself than anything else. I’ve been feeling “blah”
about my LEGO all year long but have NOT been willing to admit it to myself.
I notcie that I have NOT stopped at the toy section of any store in in a
L-O-N-G time. Gezz, if I think about it I can not recall the last time I was in
the LEGO section! =/
Has TLC done anything wrong? Not really but at the same time I don’t think they
have done anything to make me jump for joy! Perhaps I’m growing up and my
priority in life are changing, not real sure... or perhaps I’m in a “non LEGO
mood” not real sure.
I guess its time I just pack up the LEGO thing! =(
TLC won’t be making 1/4 straight/curve 9v track, or seasonal x-mass train cars,
or a Mindstorm with a 9V jack like the first version, or Star War Advance Tie
Fighters, or ... anything else I can think of that TLC won’t be making. LOL!!!
