The most valuable Lego sets —Gerhard R. Istok
In my upcoming Lego CD I mention what I consider to be the most valuable Lego sets. Until recently most AFOLs probably thought that the #398 USS Constellation was the most valuable Lego set. Well there are a few sets that are more valuable (...) (20 years ago, 4-Sep-04, to lugnet.general)

(...) ... I am not a collector, but I assumed that 1593, the space-themed 'Super Model' released in 1983, was the most valuable. BrickLink has sold one MISB for $1780, and currently has one listed used for $1500. I recall one selling on eBay for (...) (20 years ago, 5-Sep-04, to lugnet.general)

(...) I haven't seen a MISB 1593 listed at that other auction site yet, but an unboxed model went for 64.00 USD midway through August. Granted that was without box, but still... subtract the sell price of the used set (64.00) from the 1500.00 that a (...) (20 years ago, 6-Sep-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: The most valuable Lego sets —Ronald Borchert
(...) Hi, in autumn 2000 a MISB 7750 was sold at ebay.de for DM4010 = EUR2050 = USD2460 I think, that the 7750 is still one of the most valuable sets. Some of the promotional 1:87 scale H0-Cars, like the VW-Vans "Philips" or "Kastner & Öhler" get (...) (20 years ago, 6-Sep-04, to lugnet.general)
