Does BL even store purchase history older than 6 months? Anyways, whatever the
highest-priced BL part sale is, its probably eclipsed by the following part,
which sold on eBay for $2050:
Granted, its only officially valued at something like $800, but its 14K solid
gold and officially limited to 30 pieces, of which this is the only copy known
to have hit the collectible market.
There is one other piece that actually stands a chance of being more valuable
than Garys $4000 set, and thats the solid platinum Mask of Light, of which
there is only one official copy in existence. That I am aware of, the winner
has not opted to sell it...yet.

| (...) You can access older purchase history by going to the catalog page of the item and clicking on the Add to My Inventory link. Then scroll down the page to "Check the Price Guide if this Item has been Sold Before" and click on the Whole Price (...) (20 years ago, 5-Sep-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

| (...) ... I am not a collector, but I assumed that 1593, the space-themed 'Super Model' released in 1983, was the most valuable. BrickLink has sold one MISB for $1780, and currently has one listed used for $1500. I recall one selling on eBay for (...) (20 years ago, 5-Sep-04, to lugnet.general)
