maybe some guy at TLG are portuguese.
DUPLO means "double"
QUATRO means "four (4)"
but PRIMO means "cousin" :)
i think PRIMO means "first" in italian

| (...) I thought the use of those prefixes goes waaayyy back to earlier times...like maybe latin? The main source of most of the romance languages? DU --- double/two QUAT - Four primo--perhaps coming from "prime" meaning "first"?? (or some (...) (21 years ago, 5-Feb-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.duplo)
