I think LEGO QUATRO is a great idea!  Smaller than PRIMO, yet bigger than
DUPLO.  And hopefully much more compatible with SYSTEM than PRIMO is.

From the pictures, it looks like this is 4x the scale of LEGO SYSTEM
(hence the "quat-") and 2x the scale of LEGO DUPLO (which itself is 2x
the scale of LEGO SYSTEM -- hence the "du-").

maybe some guy at TLG are portuguese.
DUPLO means "double"
QUATRO means "four (4)"
but PRIMO means "cousin" :)

i think PRIMO means "first" in italian

I thought the use of those prefixes goes waaayyy back to earlier times...like
maybe latin?  The main source of most of the romance languages?

DU --- double/two
QUAT - Four
primo--perhaps coming from "prime" meaning "first"??
       (or some interpretation there of)

haven't checked my entymology here, so I may not be entirely correct...

I think Duplo first came into being around 1967, and Primo in 1995, though...
