  Ponder... If....

This might not belong in this group.. though I'm not sure where else I'd put it... If you could get your hands on any mold lego's made for any part they have or currently make... which one would you choose??? You can only choose one mold... I'm (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Ponder... If....

(...) Unfortuanately, one of my choices probably is two molds, the mold for the narrow ship center hull sections (since its two parts, usually (always?) molded in two colors, its got to be two seperate molds). Of course given that the cost to (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Ponder... If....

(...) Hmmm... I'd have to get the pick-axe, so I could make the tool to get to the molds... They're all sealed in various cornerstones, you see. Sort of a cement overcoat with mold. :-P But, if I could pick one, just one, and any one, I would go for (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Ponder... If....

(...) Wow, a real tough question, I would chose from this list: 2x2 tiles, 2x2 round bricks, 1x6x2 triple pane classic window (#214/2), 1x12x3 stairstep arch, 2x2x3 steep slope corner brick. If I had to choose, I guess I'd choose the window. Gary (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) It works here just fine cuz it's on topic. (...) Solid 8x8 radar dish mold, assuming I "got my hands on it" legally of course. -Tom McD. when replying, (25 years ago, 4-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Ponder... If....

(...) With the ability to produce parts from that mold? probably the 6 x 8 plate. --Bram Bram Lambrecht / o o \ BramL@juno.com ---...---oooo-----(_...o---...--- WWW: (URL) (25 years ago, 4-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Ponder... If....

Of course this would all be legal.. and you'd have some way to actually make the parts.. Remember.. in make believe you can do and be anything you want :) and I'd probably change my vote.. I think I'd go for a 2x2 tile mold! The inverted corner (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Ponder... If....

(...) I'm thinking about this one, but I'm almost certain it would be the spaceship inverted low-slope hull--6x5x2, in white, grey, trans-blue, trans-yellow, and black. Why they stopped making it, I'll never know--but it was one of the few big (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Ponder... If....

(...) I'd prefer 1x1 tiles over 2x2. You can always create 2x2 or even 3x3 tile patterns if you want to with the 1x1s. You can fill odd-length spaces as well, something you can't do with the 2x2s. Not only can you tile all the floors, you can cover (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) Dream big: the 6 x 16 plate. :) Steve (25 years ago, 7-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Ponder... If....

(...) I prefer 6 x 8. It's the only large plate that's 8 studs wide. Have you every tried to make a floor for an eight wide spaceship, truck trailer, etc? It's a pain if you don't have enough 8 wide plates. --Bram Bram Lambrecht / o o \ (...) (25 years ago, 7-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Ponder... If....

(...) Well, assuming along with the mold I get the ABS, the other equipment necessary to make pieces, and any kind of coloring I want, I'd choose the pitchfork mold. I can deal with not having various types of bricks and stuff, but I need (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)
