(...) get any usable amounts of the single parts. And that would give you more 2 x 2 bricks then you'll need in a lifetime (OK, so that is obviously not true). Thanks for the link Martin! (21 years ago, 5-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.loc.se)

Re: 4405 Blue tub (1305 pieces) now available from S@H (UK)

I was thinking the same thing. 13 white cones? What the? And so many singletom pieces (including 1x1 aqua bricks, and 3x3 corner slope blue). Truly bizarre... it almost looks like a dumping ground for leftover pieces. I could see myself buying a (...) (21 years ago, 5-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.loc.se)

(...) Ya know, I've wondered that myself. You don't suppose that TLC overruns parts to cover themselves in case of disasters at sea ? (remembers the story about the lost shipping container of parts bound for Enfield, flippers, etc). Might be an (...)   Re: 4405 Blue tub (1305 pieces) now available from S@H (UK)

(...) Fascinating theory. I'll go one further (while we're speculating).. watch the inventory! It may change. If this truly is a way to get rid of surplus, I could see the "extra" pieces changing. They're not printed on the bin unlike the first 400 (...) (21 years ago, 5-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.loc.se)

Re: 4405 Blue tub (1305 pieces) now available from S@H (UK)

(...) Perhaps it is true! I have to ask, doubtless it has been asked before but what's with the huge number of 2x2 bricks ? Duplo always had way too many of these and looking thru the parts inventory for the tubs i see it still (2x2's hugely (...)   Re: 4405 Blue tub (1305 pieces) now available from S@H (UK)

I'd rather have "too many" 2x2s than too many 1x1s. 2x2s are very useful (and easier to sell in the colors you don't need). The ton of grey 2x2s is a Castle lovers dream, I'm sure (I don't need them from my 20 tubs, so I'm selling all 1120 of them, (...) (...) Haha, being a castle lover myself, I was drooling over the 56 grey 2x2s per tub... And you're right about the "usefulness" of 2x2s over 1x1s. -Bryan (21 years ago, 6-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.loc.se)

Re: 4405 Blue tub (1305 pieces) now available from S@H (UK)

(...) Looks very comparative to the 4400 Tub. Obviously many differences, but still the lone 3x3 double convex slopes, lone 2x4 slopes and double slopes, etc. I do however envy these pieces: Trans-Light Blue Brick, Modified 2 x 4 with Curved Top - (...) (...) On a trip into Germany I found the 4405 bin. It was new to me, and once opened I was surprised by the remarkable piece selection of the 305 extra's. So now I found the above discussion, I 'd like to add two observations/speculations: - The (...) (21 years ago, 3-Jan-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.loc.se)
