Does anyone know where I can find a tutorial to walk me through
installing/setting up the Apache server on my Windows PC? Or can someone walk me
through this via e-mail? I run Windows XP, and connect through a Linksys router
to the internet with a cable ISP, which I am quite sure uses a Dynamic IP
Address. Anyone have something similar set up on their Windows PC, or experience
doing this before, and can help me/walk me through installing? I do have a
domain name (or subdomain, I think), http://focusrs.gotdns.com, from
http://www.dyndns.com. The network was setup by me, so I am basically the
network administrator, no problems there. And, everything that I use for my
server and associated stuff needs to be free, because that was basically what
the Apache website (http://www.apache.org) promised and I am sure it is possible
to do so. Please, please help me! I am a complete newbie to the Apache server,
or any server on my home computer for that matter. I can access the pages on my
two computers behind my router, but not outside of that. Please help, if you
can!

Thanks

Max

(...) Hmmm. It should work by typing in the domain name. But I know that it doesn't work on my computer unless I type in the IP address, since I'm behind a router. But I thought (after reading LOTS of documentation to back me up) that since the (...) (21 years ago, 30-Jun-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.off-topic.geek, FTX)
