Caption for 10040 Black Seas Barracuda (p.3):
"LEGO fans were asked to vote for the LEGO Legend they most wanted to see
return - and the Black Seas Barracuda was the #1 choice!"
Caption for the Legends page (p.60):
"A recent online poll said that Black Falcon's Fortress was #1 on your wish
list, so it's now available again for the first time in over a decade."
Also of interest-- The interior view of Black Falcon's Fortress (seen on
page 61 and also again on the back cover, page 74) shows 3 visible 1/2 1x5x4
arches!
And since it's been told that the new BFF (10039) does *NOT* come with the
extra arches that the original 6074 came with, one is left to assume that
the images used are actually the same as from the 1986 set! Who'd'a thunk it? :)
And I also noticed that the Imperial Shuttle (7166, p. 14/15) is labelled
"NEW!". (Oh, and now this is just getting silly, but there's also a printing
splotch on page 15 next to the description of the Jedi Adventure Kit-- not
sure if that's just me or not)
And last but not least-- the Special Edition Naboo Starfighter (10026) is
marked as "New! Hard to Find!". This may not be incorrect-- does this mean
it's being released retail??
Returning to persnick elsewhere,
DaveE

| (...) Well considering that the flag and torso logos are done in the old elongated shape rather than the new 'same as shield' shape, I would say that those are fact the original images used for the set in 1986. -Mike Petrucelli (22 years ago, 31-Oct-02, to lugnet.general)

| In lugnet.general, David Eaton writes: *snip* (...) Isn't "hard to find" S@H-code for "not at retail?" (Either not at all, or hardly at all in the case of discontinued sets.) A retail appearance per se wouldn't surprise me, since many LD sets that (...) (22 years ago, 31-Oct-02, to lugnet.general)

| (...) I saw that one as well. They tend to call things "New!" for about a year.* I wonder if that "New!" is meant to refer to the Jedi Adventure Kit? Those sets were all released in 2002 so they could be called "New!" by the normal S@H usage. Bruce (...) (22 years ago, 31-Oct-02, to lugnet.general)
