Actually, I suspect that a very large number of the lids were produced years
ago and are still being used. There is a (C)1987 inside the lid. The blue
tub I am looking at was made in 1998. It states "Components made in
Denmark, Switzerland, and USA." "Packaged by LEGO Systems Enfeild, CT
06083, USA"
The barcode number on my blue tub is 042884030339
Hope this info helps. It makes no sense for this set not to be available in
the UK.
