Ok, I agree with most of the fads you mentioned.  But Craftmatic adjustable
beds?!?!?!  I've been wanting one of those for as long as I can remember.
The ads have been on for years, and I know someone must be buying the
things.  Not only has the Craftmatic adjustable bed held on for all these
years, but there have been great advances in the adjustable bed industry.
Now you and your significant other can adjust the sides of your bed
independently!  Wow!

I am so going to buy one when I have a couple hundred extra bucks to spare
(which will probably be never thanks to this whole LEGO addiction).  I can
only hope that when I do buy one, they have advanced to adjustable _water_
beds.

FUT:  lugnet.f... oh forget about it, my ridiculous ranting really doesn't
need to be followed :-)

This is really too bad for most of us AFOL's. I had hoped that LEGO would
return to their traditional business of offering sets with more • versatility
instead of all this. I can see it now, after all the Bionicle promotions • are
over with, the stuff will gather dust on some kid's bookshelf. At least • with
traditional LEGO, you can make something new should you find your current
MOC getting 'old'. I pity the creative potential of today's kids, if this • is
LEGO's indicator of such. Bionicle = Soloflex, Craftmatic adjustable beds,
Cabbage Patch Kids, Milli Vanilli, all fads which will soon disappear. Oh,
and by the way, how did LEGO make out in 2000? History tends to repeat
itself if we don't learn from our mistakes. LEGO, welcome to your
Stalingrad! -Harvey
