After reading your replies, I think I have decided on a compromise of sorts. I’m not going to cut a custom 8x19 piece, because it does not exist. (...) Note that Brasso takes off permanent marker pretty good, of course I think the area inside the craters is somewhat textured so it may be more work, but I agree, cut up a 48x48 baseplate before you cut up anything else. (24 years ago, 4-Apr-01, to lugnet.general)

(...) Well it's done! Today I went out and got a new 48x48 baseplate and used it to cut a 8x16 light gray baseplate. Thanks to everyone for your replies, comments and ideas, they helped me decide what to do. I think I will try to clean up my old (...) (24 years ago, 6-Apr-01, to lugnet.general)
