Hi Frank,
The original question asked who had every set in a particular theme. I
don't consider the comics or the T-shirt a set. I do have two of the 6255
comic, but I don't know which versions (probably US). I don't have all the
boxes to each set either. I'm talking about the pieces and the
instructions. Those I do have! I also have all the service packs for all
cannon types, and pirate accessories. So in that sense, I'm complete! As
has been discussed before, there are many levels of being complete. I'm not
into the collecting of all advertisements, aritcles, books, etc. of a
particular theme. I think you end up on a endless search for those type of
items. I also don't think complete means having to have european versions
of an identical set. You could then argue that you must have a SES with the
shooting cannon as well as the US version without. I have enough sets and
parts to do that, but I wasn't trying to fulfill that catagory. After all,
unless you have every set in it's sealed original box, you could also argue
that you don't have the "original" parts to each set. What if you had to
replace a standard brick on one of your sets? Does that make it incomplete?
It doesn't in my opinion, but others could argue the point. What we need is
a listing of types of completeness that one could obtain! Then you could
say you are "level B" complete in a particular theme or something of the
sort. Anyone interested in coming up with such a list? That would probably
need to be discussed in another newsgroup catagory...
