Hi Everyone! Got my 6773 in the mail today! Woo Hoo! I took a few pics for you all to enjoy. Main Picture Directory: (URL) Good: -Nice little set. (...) a (...) Actually, I think this piece will find some good use. It has the advantage that it can be mounted stronger than the normal 2x2 tile with vertical peg. One thing it might be usefull for is an alternate bogie plate for trains. Frank (23 years ago, 14-Feb-01, to lugnet.general)

(...) I agree, Frank. It is also far superior to the 2x2 tile brick with top pin for the same reason. This new part is also found in the Life on Mars mecha, btw. Jeff (23 years ago, 14-Feb-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: It's here! 6773 Alpha Team Helicopter

(...) Yes! I totally agree. This piece is more than the sum of its parts. The problem with the 2x2 tile with peg is that it does not have good adhesion. While it's fine for holding light things above it like copter rotors, the use in a train bogie (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: It's here! 6773 Alpha Team Helicopter

(...) In fact, I think in the Life on Mars sets, they actually take advantage of the ability to bury it for more strength, which is good since the LOM sets also have something heavier than a rotor. My guess is that it is showing up in the (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-01, to lugnet.general)

(...) Plus, when the LEGO-people are running their little ROI analyses to justify creating the new part mold, showing as many uses as possible for the piece has got to go a long way toward the bottom line. Ignoring the cost savings of using existing (...) (23 years ago, 16-Feb-01, to lugnet.general)
