wWITP (weekly What Is This Part)

It looks like a cylinder. Measures slightly less that 4-studs across and 2- bricks high. It has six pin holes (each is 3-studs from the opposite one) and an axlehole thru the middle. The pin-holes are offset towards one end of the cylinder. It looks (...) (23 years ago, 14-Jan-01, to lugnet.general)

(...) You mean this one: (URL) a wheel hub. Here's the tire for it: (URL) (23 years ago, 14-Jan-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: wWITP (weekly What Is This Part)

(...) I saw that one. If that is it, then the dat file is off a little from the actual part. That is the closest thing I could find, but it does not look exactly the same. If anyone has a 3739, check to see if the part number is stamped on it. This (...) (23 years ago, 14-Jan-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: wWITP (weekly What Is This Part)

(...) Hmm, it does look a bit different, on the other hand, the dimensions are about right (the dimensions given are for the tire). I've yet to have a set which has tires for these hubs, so I can't tell what the actual tire looks like. I wonder if (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.general)

Is this is the 956 Auto Chassis tire and hub? I have both sets, for comparison, if I can dig up that red hub.... (23 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: wWITP (weekly What Is This Part)

(...) actual (...) Tim Vattima calls the one you have, a "Tire Hub for 20 X 30 Tire", no number: (URL) have one from 1682, I agree it's different from the datfile. Says here, the datfile was written by Chris Moseley, moz1@ihug.co.nz - Chris, are you (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: wWITP (weekly What Is This Part)

(...) That wheel-hub (in 956) looks like the dat file picture. Note the long vertical rib across the center circle. The part I have does *not* have that. The axlehole is actually recessed a bit. Its hard to tell from the picture of 956, but I (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: wWITP (weekly What Is This Part)

(...) Hmm, looks like there are two very similar hubs. If the part in 956 is indeed the same one as in the partsref, it should be about the same thickness, though it could be a bit thicker. When you see a notation like 24x43 on a LEGO tire, that's (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: wWITP (weekly What Is This Part)

(...) In that case, they are dimensionally similar. I just measured the black one from 6455. Indeed it measures 20mm thick and 30mm across the rims. Externally they are similar. The difference is the internal placement of the pin holes and the axle (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.general)
