That wheel-hub (in 956) looks like the dat file picture. Note the long vertical
rib across the center circle. The part I have does *not* have that. The axlehole
is actually recessed a bit. Its hard to tell from the picture of 956, but I
suspect that those wheels are not 2-bricks high if measured lying flat.
I just compared this part to a Model Team wheel (p/n 2695). They are both the
same diameter. This part is taller than the M/T wheel. The M/T wheel does not
have the cross-hair in the middle to hold an axle, it has a pin socket instead.
On this part, the axle-holder (cross-hairs) is offset back towards the center of
the wheel (even tho the pin holes are offset to one side/end).
Strange that theres plenty of places to put a part number, but all I see is
'Lego' and the mold number (10).

| (...) Hmm, looks like there are two very similar hubs. If the part in 956 is indeed the same one as in the partsref, it should be about the same thickness, though it could be a bit thicker. When you see a notation like 24x43 on a LEGO tire, that's (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.general)
