For the last several years they have never shown all of the sets in the
first in-box catalog. there were 38 or so Technic/Mindstorms sets in 2000
(including promo and power pack sets) but only a handful were ever shown
in the US catalogs and European catalogs have gone to several different
in-set catalogs per year.
It seems that Technic has split into 2 very different lines -- the
Throwbot/CyberSlam "Im only 7 years old and my attention span was
developed playing Nintendo 64 so any toy I buy better move and do it
right now" line and the Silver Champion/Mindstorms big set line.
the differences between these to extremes seems to be widening each
year.
