Re: New sets for 2001... finally (Pictures) —Steve Bliss
(...) You're crazy. ;) The TIEs have always been black/grey. The rebels, IMO, are more white than LEGO has tended to depict them. Steve (24 years ago, 22-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: New sets for 2001... finally (Pictures) —Eric Joslin
(...) Slow down there! The Kenner TIE fighter toy was very, very white. Because of this, a lot of people remember the TIE fighter as being white in the movie (kids like me had a lot more exposure to the toys than the movies for years, after all). (...)          Re: New sets for 2001... finally (Pictures) —Erik Olson
(...) For years before the toys were common, there were Star Wars cards. If you were a kid in 1977 you spent a lot more time looking at these than the actual movie. It looks around $15, and I was looking forward to buying about a trillion at that price, simply because the'd be (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: TIEs have always been dark blue in the films —Bradley Dale
(...) Actualy, the MSRP of the AT-AT is only $9.99 US. I think it will be a good value. What's bigger than a trillion? (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: TIEs have always been dark blue in the films —Nils Becker
   A googol is larger than a trillion (1,000,000,000,000,0...00,000,000 or 10 to the 100th power). (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: TIEs have always been dark blue in the films —Jonathan Nichol
You forgot a zero. It should be a 1 with 100 zeros after it. Of course then there's a googolplex, which is a 1 with googol zeros after it. But the biggest number of all is just an 8 lying on its side.... (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)
