I've never even heard of it until I stumbled upon it on the Lego website
today, under Statues.  There is the large minifig, and this huge 2.5 ft • tall
2800 piece Statue of Liberty.  Anyone?

WOW!  "NEW green bricks"!!!!

http://shop.lego.com/productinfo.asp?product_number=3450

I don't think those are a new green.  I highly suspect they're a off-color
picture of ordinarly grey bricks.

IIRC there were pictures posted earlier in summer from the LLC Maniac's
convention or whatever it was called, and this statue, in a preprod version,
was one of the featured items. My beef then was not enough slopes. The green
is a grayish green intended to simulate the copper patina of the real thing,
per the TLC reps that the picture poster talked to. Everyone that went to the
fest saw it.

Whether we needed this statue more than anything else is debatable but I may
have to get one just for the bricks.
