Hi Benjamin,

having seen the AUS version now, I think it's basically the same 2000.2
catalogue as the german [-European?] one, but there are also a couple of
differences however. Nearly on every page you will find something which is
slightly different from our pages. In the Duplo setcion, the AUS catalogue
even shows a LOT more products than we have, that's strange. Also (although
I haven't seen your SW pages yet), the german catalogue does NOT show the
new Pod Bucket #7159, although it is available here. I'd better not try to
understand all this however...

Yep, there possibly would be a few different sets to what's in the German
catalogue. However, we don't necessarily get all the sets shown in this, and
we don't have any SCALA or ZNAP sets down here either [or service packs as
shown in the first German catalogue of this year.] so we probably end up with
thee same sized or smaller range available to us :(

The page with the podrace bucket is up [page 58] if you're interested in
seeing how it's shown.

Okay...It's starting to go up. [I'm slowly adding images :) ] {Usual • warning
about 400K images...}

I've put up the cover and a few inner pages, and hope to get the rest up
tomorrow night and over the weekend. [it's taking too long to upload at • the
moment, and I need my beauty sleep.]

If there's any particular area/theme you'd like to see, let me know, and • I'll
try and start there tomorrow night.
[I've scanned page 70 which shows a fair amount of detail of the "power
puller", and should help people know more about its engine. otherwise, • it's
the first few pages, then a few even numbered pages, then page 70.]

I just got back from Target at Camberwell [Melbourne] and they had the • new
catalogue for this year :)

It's 76 pages, with lego webpages to go with set/theme info, and lots of
descriptions.

I'll try and scan it tonight, and post the images. [WARNING: text WILL be
hard to read, as it's smaller and lighter than that in the 60's • catalogues,
so post a message if you'd like transcripts from a page(s).]

[What's happening...LA is based in Sydney, but Melbourne gets the lego
first?]

NOTE: on the cover there's a "Not all products listed are available". • Cover
is blue with a mixture of sets 'exploding' out of a circle in the centre • of
the page. Back cover is almost identical to 2000.1 catalogues.

Also if you buy a set for > $49, you can get a 1 year world club • membership
free. All you need to do is enclose the receipt....looks like we could • get
more world club members [come on, everyone here in Aus will buy at least • one
set over $49 won't you?]

I'll post replies to any queries I get before 4 this arvo about what's
shown.

To start with: Roborider 8516 "THE BOSS" looks like a small winged • technic
model with a motorbike [not roborider wheels either :) ] Orange, dark • grey
and black [JULY release]

Technic tractor, F1 and 4WD also shown :)

Remember I'll do my best to answer queries posted in loc.au :)
