First off, Harry potter is about a billion times more popular among CHILDREN
than lord of the rings, so thats probably why its a more valuable license. But
the real issue to me is that being such a character driven book, its not
completely out of the question to have belville scale harry potter( pretty
unlikely I guess)  ok back to work; )

Are you saying that the Tolkien books are not enjoyed by children?
compared to Harry Potter yes that is exactly what Im saying. the language is
more cumbersome, and Characters harder to relate to.
Tolkien stuff really fits in with the current and past Castle theme, too.
Im sure thats a major reason why NOT to do it, I would rather see more creative
color schemes and elements, than a castle revival. Plus they actually have a
Castle theme, which would be superceded by the tolkien sets Im sure. this way,
we may get harry potter AND more Castle sets. I was VERY surprised to hear
about the Harry Potter license, but I am very optimistic about the quality of
the sets.(maybe more purple pieces[lets see LOTR offer that!])

QUESTION:  What can we expect 9 Sorcerer's Stone sets to look like (what is
most likely)?  Being that I have not read the series yet (shame), I have no
idea what to expect, but it sounds like a cross between Time Cruisers and
Castle (yesno?).
I think they will tie in strongly with the movie, not the book, but they might
have the secret magic shops in that hidden alley in london, and the biggest set
might be hogwarts( the school) but maybe, different sets will combine to make
the school(ie Tower, classroom, dorm)  but who knows what will be in the movie.
