It's doubtful that any of the crew will survive the crash, but the
resulting fire hazard might need fire supression.  The crash site will
probably be in a remote area -- not likely to be near an airport.

Potential wildfire?  Looks like other Metro Area FD's will have to be called
in on mutual aid.

I've thought about just saying to heck with it and driving the doomed
helicopter into the ground and letting what happens happens.

Perhaps someone can comment on typical ways helicopters crash.  From
movies I've seen usually it's in a spiral turning motion with a bottom
or slightly angled side/bottom impact.

That's what I meant by failed autorotation.  The blades continue to spin,
keeping the helo upright as is comes back to earth.  You usually win up with
shattered blades (that can create severe damage to the ship and crew), a
crushed undercarriage, and a totally separated tail boom.

The destruction will be great.   I'm hoping the force will tear some
of the SEALs or crew in half.  A decapation would be nice to see.

Not likely unless you use an old stiffie torso.

Yeah I see what you mean.  But a cement impact from about 15 feet up
might generate some interesting forces....

My experience as a young child is that most of the time pieces don't
break, and minifigs just get thrown several feet from the wreckage.

A belly landing will probably cause the least amount of damage with
the fuselage breaking into probably 3-4 chunks.  With the SEAL team
in the open cargo bay -- they will probably just get chucked to their
death.

I've pondered the idea of crashing the model outside on a cement
patio.  This would create a much more realistic crash than say
a carpet crash site.  The impacting pieces would most likely
suffer scratching and I venture to guess several plate pieces would
snap against the unforgiving forces of cememt.

More realistic in terms of Lego...yes, but you rarely see such total
devastation in real life.

The crash will be more than just destroyed lego pieces and dead
minifigs.  I'll be able to see what parts of the ship are weaker
than others.   This experience will prove to provide data usefull
in creating a safer UH-60 in the future.  The lifes of future
minifig SEALs and pilots depends on the sacrafices of these men.

What are you saying?  Surely you can't be implying what I think you're
implying....

Well crash dummies are just not going to cut it.  The reality is
that this SEAL team needs go. They have been on too many Lego black
operation missions.   Carrying out the will of the President's
private agenda on occassion.  They know too much. In fact the President
ordered this slaughter -- and figured the crash would help save
lifes of UH-60 passengers to boot!

While they are the most skilled and trained Lego SEAL in existence
they are again the kind of guys who might write a book, or leak
information about their missions later down the road.  One easy
helicopter crash and their memories and threat to national security
is over.   Don't you know this stuff REALLY happens all the time?

I don't want to focus on the death a salty seasoned minifig SEAL
team's worth or unimaginable evil it presents.   The government
often terminiates it's own operatives.  I mean the Lego government
cannot afford these guys spilling their guts.  I mean if you
only knew the kind of crap they've done.

The reality is the crash will 99.9% kill all of those aboard.
And it will be a quick death.  Those that might live will
be quickly killed by a little nerve gas that's secretly encased
in the air craft with a delayed release function.  If they
are bleeding after the crash (with broken bones no doubt) they
will quickly be aphexiated (spelling) by the nerve gas release.

UH-60 product is set through 2007 and the Lego government has
the option of ordering any modifications it wishes.  This crash
data is necessary. Necessary to build a better UH-60 in the future
so in real war situations if the UH-60 should go down men -- pilots
and Navy SEALs might live.

Oh don't worry - they will all die like hero's.  The fact that
they have killed women, children, and civilians on their covert
black operations will never surface.   SEAL life is not always
about killing foriegn forces -- more often than not it's about
killing "domestic threats".

I can just imagine them scrambling to react to the sudden realization
that their helicopter is coming down -- and fast. Some of the SEALs
might jump out and attempt a low altitude parachute jump.  But
that will only cause to experience more fear as their sabatoged
parachutes fail to open.

I feel for the crew. They are just "ginny" pigs.  Their vitals,
brain waves, - everything will be recorded by recently implanted
blackbox technology senor arrays.   The data will help future
pilots understand the stresses that body goes through (and
how to overcome them) during the last moments before a crash....

Military planes and helicopters are always going down.  When
the UH-60 goes down it will be no different in the eyes of
public and military troops alike.  ..... happens.

To them it will be another training flight. They be put through
the paces quickly when they realize their flight controls have
been sabatoged, and coupled with engine failure.  They will be
a steel bucket in the air with gravity as the ends to their means.

You are.  Words cannot express the magnitude of outrage you'll face.  I'd
imagine that other seal teams would turn renegade and target you for
elimination for this.  Shoot...I can see a military overthrow (with a
summary execution) of your entire government.  I urge you to reconsider!
