Crashing your Lego creation safely...

While this might be a silly question I am looking for suggestions on how to
crash a fairly large lego model (Helicopter) on a ground surface while
minimizing the risk of breaking pieces.
The goal here is to crash my UH-60 http://www.netpresonic.com/lego/ with full
crew and attached SEAL team and then photo document the wreckage.
These men will die, but for a good cause -- to improve safety features of the
UH-60.

| (...) ...Well, I can give some reports from my weekend and crash tests. Both crashes were of buildings, and were unintentional drops from about a meter up onto hard concrete. I noticed only a few pieces with stress discolouration. Mostly on the (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jul-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

| Well it's been 1 year since I wrote the message below. I have yet to crash this helicopter out of pure laziness. The SEALs have completed several missions and the pilots of the UH-60 (lego) Blackhawk are now feeling safe that their craft is safe and (...)
