Actually, they have no claim to the monorail track design.  If you wanted • to
build it, it would not be something they could claim design rights, since • it is
a swiss invention of the last century, and the 'stud' design, for the ends • to
be compatable is now free market.  They could complain if you used the • same
lengths, or if you demonstratablely used one of their track pieces to make • your
molds directly from, but the basic idea, even the gear tooth spacing, they • have
no way to prevent you from using it.  There is nothing _new_ about it • which
makes it patentable, just old ideas reused.
