  Staircases!

Hi, all- I seem to have "discovered" a piece from my Dark Ages--one that appeared after I submerged and vanished before I surfaced. I knew a variant of it existed in many Belville and Paradisa sets, and appeared in at least one System set (6497 (...) (24 years ago, 23-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Staircases!

(...) I only know these two variants, the right-curved and the straight one. (Although two other variants types of large ladders/staircases appeared also in Fabuland sets: In the old sets their was a 7-step staircase with one railing, for example in (...)   Re: Staircases!

(...) I know of yellow both curved and straight in fabuland because I used to have the elements. Don't forget the stair piece used in the wild west bandits hideout among other sets, which does not have a railing. Als there are also 3 kinds of (...) (24 years ago, 23-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Staircases!

(...) More than that! I have a yellow 2 piece extending ladder from before my Dark Ages, and the single piece ladders come in variations that have clips at one end or at both ends. (I suppose if you want to count the little 'grill' pieces as ladders (...) (24 years ago, 23-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Staircases!

(...) And as far as I can tell, it looks like the current extendible ladder appeared in Fabuland, and had a 2nd base part (look at 3638). Also check out the ladder in 3637. A lot of Fabuland pieces seem to be showing up again, especially in Belville (...) (24 years ago, 23-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Staircases!

(...) I forgot about the clip ladders. The single piece ladder I was refering to is the ladder used in brown as a scaling ladder in some castle siege tower set. -- Jonathan Wilson wilsonj@xoommail.com (URL) (24 years ago, 23-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

(...) There's a straight black one in #6988 which I'd love to trade from someone for a red curved staircase! I have several dark gray straights and also one curved black one. (...) I wish! Dave (24 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Staircases!

(...) You're right, they only have 5 steps. Now I'm thinking about it, it is rather strange as they are very large steps. (...) I don't know exactly how the Belville staircases are, I've only seen them on pictures. I will look up the number of steps (...) (24 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Staircases!

(...) There are seven ladders (at least - maybe more I don't know about) if you count the ones you've listed. The single piece you list is (I believe) the modern stack-as-many-as-you-want slip-joint variety. There are also a two- piece and a (...) (24 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)
