Well, my friend and I just used a (modified) 48x48 baseplate to do the same
thing with her Ford Tempo. The lower part of her dashboard on the passenger
site, previously used for cups of coffee and such, is now a Lego tabletop.
It's attached with velcro so it can be easily removed.
