But very common for SW toys. For example: last year, Estes (model
rockets) released several new SW rockets (and several re-releases): Star
Destroyer, Y-Wing, Snow Speeder (I think--maybe an A-Wing?). ANYway, in
their catalog, they didn't show pictures of prototypes--the pictures
were just stock photos of the ships. Gave no indication of what the
rockets actually looked like.
ObOfftopic: TLG isn't the only company 'dumbing down' their construction
toys. Over the years, Estes has released several versions of the
X-Wing. With each new version, the number of total parts went down and
the size of pre-molded parts went up. The current version is pre-built.
Maybe you have to put the parachute together.
ObOfftopic2: Silliest SW/Estes product? "Proton Torpedo" starter set.
It featured a basic rocket with decals proclaiming it as a Proton
Torpedo.

I noticed that lack as well, and totally agree with you.

I *really* like the boat. It is quite a departure for TLG. In a good
way.

No problem -- just remember, in the Belville set, the rowboat is yellow.
(For any closet Belville fans, the Family Yacht/Luxury Cruiser is very
cool -- no open-air houses with only weird, abstract walls. And the
boat hull would be great for a minifig-scale 'billionaire yacht' model).

| More completely random thoughts... (...) Ain't that odd? Appears in the main catalog, not in the 1-sheet. Also, the Snowspeeder is slightly different (flat vs. canted wings, plus a spot of red on the front in the 1-sheet version). Maybe the 1-sheet (...) (26 years ago, 10-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)
