  Parts ID request

Hi. If someone out there has a copy of the 7660 Naboo Starfighter and you have a copy of the instructions you could help me out a lot. I need the 7-digit serial number that is next to the curved 2x6 light stone/grey slope. This part is only (...) (16 years ago, 27-Jun-08, to lugnet.general)

Re: Press release for LEGO Collectors Guide

(...) It's possible. There was certainly enough time to develop it between Gary's initial announcements and the actual release of the CD. Either way, I look forward to a detailed comparison of the two, if you would so kindly oblige? Allister (16 years ago, 26-Jun-08, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Press release for LEGO Collectors Guide

(...) Where did you order this new guide? I want one too. (16 years ago, 26-Jun-08, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: a word in Lego instructions

(...) And toolo aged kids can't even read, let alone recognise an onomatopoeia when they see one. What were Lego thinking? Allister (16 years ago, 26-Jun-08, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Press release for LEGO Collectors Guide

(...) I wonder if this is a response to the Istok CD? I ordered one so I can compare. Paul Sinasohn LUGNET #115 BAYLUG (16 years ago, 26-Jun-08, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: a word in Lego instructions

(...) This word can be found the Toolo range too (since 1992), like [LEGOSet 2930] Erik (16 years ago, 26-Jun-08, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: a word in Lego instructions

Maybe no one noticed, but in the factory sets when ordering your creation in a box, you can also include some words, but not your own words. (16 years ago, 26-Jun-08, to lugnet.general)

Re: Press release for LEGO Collectors Guide

(...) Looks good, though I'm not used to paying a premium for "decorative packaging with exlusive LEGO gimmicks" :-) (16 years ago, 26-Jun-08, to lugnet.general, FTX)

'Bricks In Motion' a new place ... Brickfilms "The end of a great site"

Re: a word in Lego instructions

(...) Just the same... we even derived an informatic jargon verb, "cliquer". "Click right mouse button" might be translated as "Cliquez sur le bouton de droite de la souris" ;o) Philo (16 years ago, 23-Jun-08, to lugnet.general)

Re: a word in Lego instructions

(...) Good point. I wonder how a native french speaker would pronounce a word spelled 'CLICK'? Cheers Richie Dulin CO Legeaux (16 years ago, 23-Jun-08, to lugnet.general)

Re: a word in Lego instructions

(...) However onomatopoeia is generally language specific anyway - how do those crazy frenchmen spell a word that sounds like 'CLICK'? ROSCO (16 years ago, 23-Jun-08, to lugnet.general)

Re: a word in Lego instructions

(...) I suspect 'CLICK' could be regarded as onomatopoeic, and may bypass multiple language requirements of some markets on that basis. (An exception that may also cover other words such as 'CRASH' mentioned by DaveE). Cheers Richie Dulin CO Legeaux (16 years ago, 22-Jun-08, to lugnet.general)

Re: a word in Lego instructions

In the instruction booklet the word ”cklick“ is used indeed. I'm pretty (...) (16 years ago, 21-Jun-08, to lugnet.general)

Re: a word in Lego instructions

(...) This is actually pretty common. Or, the word "Click" is, anyway. I've seen it used here and there in sets, at least since 2000, maybe longer. A quick glance online (actually, it was in the 2nd set I looked at) revealed a "CLICK" in the 8002 (...) (16 years ago, 20-Jun-08, to lugnet.general)
