Re: Sort-of-poll: Your most common LEGO dream

(...) I recently had a similar dream. I was in some store, and their LEGO aisle was stuffed with sets that were 10 or more years old. Some of them were ones I'd never seen before (obviously some figment of my unconscience mind). Plus they were all (...) (21 years ago, 19-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Sort-of-poll: Your most common Lego dream?

(...) I have also had those dreams of finding a treasure trove of parts. Especially when I was collecting red bricks for my huge red brick house. Numerous times, I would dream that I would go up to my attic and find a box of old Lego bricks left by (...) (21 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: How does the voting at the Lego Factory Competition work?

(...) This does seem awfully odd. It's still number one, with almost twice as many votes as the next runner-up. And it's a garbage image. But there's nothing in the rules that say you can't have all your friends vote for yours, no matter how (...) (21 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego, FTX)

  Lego - Quality Tests

Note - this link from (URL) contains graphic images of LEGO parts and figures enduring various quality tests including drop testing and soldering. Not for the faint at heart. (URL) (21 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: How does the voting at the Lego Factory Competition work?

(...) This is just silly. Obviously something has gone very wrong with the vote tallying (or worse, someone has already figured out how to cheat!). (...) I wish they did let you download them. I guess they're afraid of people copying other peoples (...) (21 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: How does the voting at the Lego Factory Competition work?

(...) Not to sound bitter/conspiritorial, but I smell cheating on that one. The jpeg is corrupted (and has been since day one), yet it's getting a huge number of votes. I'd like to point this out to someone in charge, but I'd rather not have to play (...) (21 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: How does the voting at the Lego Factory Competition work?

(...) The rules IMO say: 16x16 studs building area. It doesn't mention at which height, so it must apply for all heights, so no overhang. Simply block 16x16xH, where H is height (without limits). If the size limit wouldn't apply at any other level (...) (21 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: How does the voting at the Lego Factory Competition work?

(...) Yes, you're right. I had just assumed you could download them the same as the "Inspirational Models". (...) The (URL) official rules> say: As part of the LEGO Factory Element Pallet, the Entrant will be provided with three different (3) 8 knob (...) (21 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: How does the voting at the Lego Factory Competition work?

(...) Can't see it too. Tried 2 different browsers. I'm quite surprised how it can get any votes at all. The jpg downloaded from the site is plain wrong, so I doubt anyone can get better (I've tried to reload the picture multiple times). What do you (...) (21 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: How does the voting at the Lego Factory Competition work?

(...) Yes, except that you can't vote for your own model. (...) That's up to you. If there's one model that is really head-and-shoulders above the rest, vote for that one only. Or you could just vote for all the models that you find acceptable, in (...) (21 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)
