I completely agree with this point, The various click-hinges were cool when I first got them in the 1999 X-Wing set, but they spread like kudzu to overtake every hinge application under the sun! | (...) Another thing to remember is that the click hinge "clicks" and therefore means that you can position canopies and whatever else in an "open" position. Which is better for "playability" (22 years ago, 16-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)
