  Re: The perfect reissue

(...) Alright, how about the whole line then? Bring back Classic Blacktron! Adrian (22 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

Re: New Pics of Matt's Roller Coaster

(...) Matt, in case I haven't said this before, your roller coaster is amazing! I have wanted to build something like this for a long time, and I know how difficult it can be to get a complex mechanism to work reliably and still maintain a realistic (...)   Re: How have the new colors affected your recent buying decisions?

(...) As I understand it, the models at LEGOLand are glued which would make it very difficult to replace just a few bricks if dammage occurs. I imagine that if they need to repair a building or other model, they will simply build an entirely new one (...) (22 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: How have the new colors affected your recent buying decisions?

For myself, I will carry on buying sets. I may wish for old colors, or even colors they don't make (yet :), but I will make do with what I can get. I try to keep the fact that I am co-opting a children's toy to my AFOL needs in the back of my mind (...) (22 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: How have the new colors affected your recent buying decisions?

I'm not buying any saets with the new colors in them. Call me whatever you want (some have taken the liberty to insult me because I won't accept the change without protesting as hard as I can), I'm not going to encourage a company that changes the (...)   Re: The perfect reissue

Personally, I would prefer a Renegade or an Invader to a Battrax. (22 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

  Re: The perfect reissue

(...) How about the Blacktron Battrax? The only grey parts in it are technic axles and pins :) I'd buy at least a couple of the Battrax if it were reissued. It is my favorite old space set after the 6950. Mmm...Blacktron... Adrian (22 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

Re: Time for a change of subject

(...) Like several others, it's not a specific brick....It's that 'click-click-click-click-click' sound of bricks clicking together in the 5 colors--yellow, red, blue, white and black--used in LEGO tv commercials back in the 1970's (and I apologize (...) "Rob Hendrix" <rhendrix@cei.net> wrote in message news:HusFuq.17vu@lugnet.com... (...) that (...) mine is a 2x2 red brick. Although less common it seems more iconistic than the 2x4 the classic minifig smiley is just behind. On that note, have people (...) (22 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

most wanted parts that dont exist?

If you could have any 5 parts in a color that it doesnt exist in (i.e. 5 part/color combos that dont exist), what would they be? For me: 1.16 teeth technic gear wheel in black 2.minifig airtanks in green 3.Train, Window 2 x 6 x 2 with Glass in black (...) (22 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.general) !

In lugnet.general, William Lister wrote: Snipped (...) Hate to reply with myself, but I broke down and bought 20 more of the light gray brickas and some brown plates as well.   Re: More opinions needed - possible future Legends

(...) I have to wonder why people are spotlighting Ronald's post. Precise reissues aren't going to happen for older sets anyway. In any case, I wouldn't buy a reissue of the yellow castle. Accurate? So what? It would still be bright yellow. Sand (...) (22 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

  Objective Gray Analysis

I keep a 2x3 plate in my pocket with in three different 1x2 dark gray plates affixed. This shows the colors better than my camera can. (URL) take is the SW MINIs suffered from the same quality issue affecting the purple HP bus. The left one is a (...) (22 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

Re: Time for a change of subject

Re: Time for a change of subject

(...) Hey, When I think of "Lego", the first thing that comes to mind is not an element but a model. But you said the first element... Mine would have to be the 2x4 brick in yellow because it is the "TRUE BRICK". Wow I never thought of that before (...) (22 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Time for a change of subject

(...) I see, hear and think of.... A mixed pile of bricks, slopes and plates. But then that tells you what the rest of my mind is like. ;) Good topic. Thanks for something fun to chat about! All the best, Allan B. (22 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

  The perfect reissue

Ice Planet 2002, perhaps a set like 6973 Deep Freeze Defender. I already own a 6973 (or more specificly enough parts to build one plus a set of instructions but some of the parts are from other sets I own) plus all the other Ice Planet sets except a (...)   Re: Last chance for real grey -- let's send a message

(...) I ordered 10 of each grey/dark grey brick/plate sets and 5 of each brown brick/plate set. I'm glad to get some classic grey. -mark (22 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)
