  Lego Rover news

Of course, in a masterpiece of bad timing, the Rover model was cleared off of Target shelves just before the landing - I suppose I can't complain since I got one for $22. And my wife kept telling me that she could get it at a discount at work (JPL), (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jan-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Nicely now. What do you think of the new colors?

Surely one of the main values of a construction toy is that more bricks can be added over time to create new models. This is why I cannot understand why the LEGO company is removing the colour compatibility of new sets with old. The changes are (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jan-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

  Mold variant: plate 4 x 8

I found a 4x8 plate with a little mold variant: (URL) All studs are normal. I have found a similar thing with the 2x8 plates before, but below more studs. (URL) (The plate in the middle) Niels (22 years ago, 18-Jan-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Have *YOU* contacted LEGO customer service re: the gray color change?

Hello all, Have *YOU* contacted LEGO customer service regarding the gray color change? Jake McKee, in post after post on the recent gray and brown color changes, has suggested contacting LEGO customer service by phone, letter, or email. I don't (...)   Re: New x-pod sets

Re: New element (Was: Re: New x-pod sets)

(...) You must have read my mind. It was, in fact, a 1x1 with a stud on one side that I was really thinking of. I will love to have and will use the piece Huw noted above, but it would also be nice to have one that didn't need any clearance on the (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jan-04, to lugnet.general)

(...) I'd like to post my thanks Ben, Jake and to those who presented the questions. That was a very good, informative Q&A you had. To those who haven't read the transcript yet I certainly suggest doing so. Adr. (22 years ago, 18-Jan-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: New element (Was: Re: New x-pod sets)

(...) Hey Allan, My understanding is that the 1x1 brick with stud on only one side is not produced by TLC because the patent (!) is still owned by Ritvik and used in MegaBloks. That's why they could only do the 1x4 like that, at least until the part (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jan-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New x-pod sets

I may possibly have been passed Argos today and may possibly have accidently brought the sets. They Rock !! A lot of thought obviously has gone into the part selection, the muli functions of the pods are great. Each one has multiple model (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jan-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: New element (Was: Re: New x-pod sets)

Re: Nicely now. What do you think of the new colors?

Hi Jake! Thank you for the chance to 'chime in' on an official thread dealing with the new colors. As many other Lego fans are aware, I'm one of the company's biggest supporters of new colors. From the day Dark Grey debuted, I knew I would be hooked (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jan-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Nicely now. What do you think of the new colors?

Thanks for the opportunity to offer my opinions on the new 2004 colors. I'll have to admit that I'm disappointed with the new grays and brown. While they look great in the handful of new sets I have purchased, they simply do not match my existing (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jan-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)
