Re: Has the 4400 tub been discontinued?

(...) It was a very limited-release product...I think the going theory is that Lego was trying to get rid of excess inventory, hence the bizarre (yet wonderful) blend of odd parts, a lot of them one or two per tub. S@H received only a few, and had (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jan-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Lego prices?

(...) Of course it's been discussed before. Do a search for VAT and you'll find plenty of price comparisons. What you're likely to discover is that you (or perhaps someone else) gets a bit more universal health care for your Lego Euro in the UK than (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jan-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Lego prices?

(...) <snip> I've seen debates online about this, but one thing that really sticks out in my mind is the fact that Europeans usually have some kind of tax (GAT?) "included" into the price of each item you buy...basically, it disguises the fact that (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jan-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: MHoF : Harry Cane might be disqualified

(...) Christian Lindblad has emailed me concerning this issue. He is NOT the one mas-voting, although he was the one inciting people to vote for Adventurers on his website. Therefore, I apologize to have thought it was him. All the facts I had (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jan-04, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.general)

Re: MHoF : Harry Cane might be disqualified

(...) The "american-way" isn't MY way, as I'm neither American nor American-wannabe. There is, mind you, something wrong about electioneering. The MHoF voting process should be a choice based on more than a "I-Like-This-Theme" factor. Systematically (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jan-04, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Lego prices?

Has anybody ever compared Lego prices between US and UK or any other country for that matter, or am I approaching a touchy subject here. eg. Imperial Star Destroyer US $299 UK £250 4028 bucket US $9.99 UK £9.99 Is it just me or are we paying over (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jan-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: HELLO?!, LEGO CO. ! was: Will the educational arm of Technic & Mindstorms continue?

(...) Okay, then when LEGO said they would be dropping their electronics and movie tie in products, exactly what did they mean by "electronics" then? Mindstorms has been, afaik, LEGO's chief electronic product recently. We have two apparently (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jan-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.general, lugnet.technic)

Re: TLC to stop making Mindstorms/Movie sets?

Here is a followup link. <link (URL) I really hope they don't kill Mindstorms. The other stuff, like the movie tie ins I can live with. (22 years ago, 12-Jan-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: HELLO?!, LEGO CO. ! was: Will the educational arm of Technic & Mindstorms continue?

(...) Dear John, Have you seen Jake McKee's statement? "... Mindstorms is not going away, but may continue to evolve. Like all technology products, Mindstorms will continue to grow and improve as consumers gain new technology knowledge and (...)
