Re: New colors and other info

(...) The three colors that we know have changed (from the new 2004 SW sets, which I and others have) are Light Grey, Dark Grey, and Brown.   Bulk Packs of older parts (was Re: New colors and other info)

(...) If you do this, make sure that you consult with the "fans" (specificly lugnet) as to which pieces should be manufactured (if this is going to be a special run for bulk only then you should be making the parts that people actually want) Or if (...)   Re: New colors and other info

Although i am opposed to Richard's use of language, i think it was almost necessary... He has gained the spotlight and his post is being read by many. He provided a very valid arguement and wanted many people to listen to it. However, it is one that (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: My Chosen Hobby

(...) Yeah, and a lot of AFOLS buy Lego to be complete. Then, I was in TRU the other day and this boy was unexcitedly staring at Bionicle. Mother: "He already has all the Bionicles." So he got the Space Shuttle. Good choice. -Erik (22 years ago, 20-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

Klaupacius wrote in message ... (...) picture (...) impact (...) LOL! This is the best comment yet! Now, if only TLC had thought of that as a solution. After all, you often can't tell what the colors are going to be from the box anyway. Kevin (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Petition against permanent color changes

Hey, do you remember someone who stockpiled Coke in 1985? I had a neighbor whose parents complained of migraines if they didn't get their bottle of Coke. So, prior to the switchover to Coke II the garage was stuffed to the gills with Coke, so that (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Traumatic Events in the Life of a Lego Fan

Looking at your post, I suppose that you yourself hate Galidor as well.... :-D And perhaps Bionicle too? What about the juniorization of sets? LOL. Personally Im not fussing about the colors, its the Castlidor invasion Im worried about. (22 years ago, 20-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)

I'll add my name to the list: Tim Courtney, 21 I called Consumer Affairs today to voice my extreme dissatisfaction about this as well. I'm not overly optimistic any of this will change what is, but we'll see. -Tim (22 years ago, 20-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: New colors and other info

(...) The wacky colors, especially in 1x2s, look to be useful for decorating large Roman interiors and perhaps some exterior accents. However I still need endless quantities of white and yellow.. and brown.. if they mess with white.. (22 years ago, 20-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Petition against permanent color changes

(...) I've explained my feelings elsewhere. But two things i didn't mention i will do for sure: 1. Write to Lego telling about my disliking of color change; 2. STOP buying sets with this new colours. Oddly enough, i think i'll check Peeron first. Or (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Traumatic Events in the Life of a Lego Fan

(...) <snip> Well this is funny, and it did make me laugh, but most of these changes that you mention are improvements to the product line. Very few of these represent a step backwards in the consistency of the product. I know that you are mocking (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)
