Re: Orlando PaB -- Initial Report

The display as well as the containers, seem to be fairly similar to that of LIC Anaheim. However, the selection of some of the special bricks is different. For those of you wondering what LIC Anaheim Pick-A-Brick looks like, these pictures are (...) (22 years ago, 2-Sep-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.us.fl.orl, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Where is the next LEGOLAND?

(...) There's been a rumor for the longest time about a Lego park in EPCOT. Wishful thinking, but cool nonetheless. Joe Meno .space paparazzi! (22 years ago, 2-Sep-03, to lugnet.legoland, lugnet.general)

Re: Cool Lego site of the last 14 weeks...

I always enjoyed looking at the CLSOTW. Come on guys, its only a once a week thing. If you can't do it, at least turn it over to someone who can (no, I'm not volunteering!). You guys can't kill the CLSOTW! At least not until MY SITE makes it on (...) (22 years ago, 2-Sep-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Where is the next LEGOLAND?

As noted, Brad Justus said there is no new park soon, but we can still speculate :). I'd guess that they would follow the Disney model and consider Florida for the next US park--year round tourist season makes the southern US much more economical (...) Back when CLSOTW died before some argued that "every good site had already been chosen", but that was, IMHO, the grumblings of an inside elite. All of their sites (...)   Re: Cool Lego site of the last 14 weeks...

That is still a lot compared to some other polls. CSOTW has died once, and trying to recreate does not seem to have much luck. One reason might be that only lugnet members can vote, another - there is not that interest in that as there used to be, (...) (22 years ago, 2-Sep-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Where is the next LEGOLAND?

(...) MAYBE somewhere in South America? But ya, I'm with you, Lenny. There are not a lot of additional markets beyond what you named. Plus I think unless they ramp up their model building staff, they are going to fall farther behind on model (...) (22 years ago, 2-Sep-03, to lugnet.legoland, lugnet.general)
