That makes it commen, therefore not so interesting to look at all the pages
there are (my opinion: too many)

But I would argue that that is all the more reason to highlight the best pages.
Back when CLSOTW died before some argued that "every good site had already been
chosen", but that was, IMHO, the grumblings of an inside elite.  All of their
sites had been picked, so there was no need to continue.  Of course, many sites
had not been picked at that point or have since been created, including Peeron,
MOCPages, the Brick Testament, (my site, not to be too biased), etc.  And there
are many new sites that are cool that haven't been picked yet, for instance
Count Blockula's miniland-scale Star Wars figure page is a current favorite of
mine.

For more on the current state of CLSOTW, see this thread:

Tobbe Arnesson was out of contact for a time, but as of four weeks ago he was
going to get back into CLSOTW, but that's the last I heard on the matter.
Tobbe????

I always enjoyed looking at the CLSOTW. Come on guys, its only a once a week thing. If you can't do it, at least turn it over to someone who can (no, I'm not volunteering!). You guys can't kill the CLSOTW! At least not until MY SITE makes it on (...) (21 years ago, 2-Sep-03, to lugnet.general)

(...) I'm still here and have sent all the pending reviews to Todd. There's nothing more I can do really. On a personal note I think CLSOTW should open up it's voting for non-members as well and if that still does not generate enough voting interest (...) (21 years ago, 3-Sep-03, to lugnet.general)

That is still a lot compared to some other polls. CSOTW has died once, and trying to recreate does not seem to have much luck. One reason might be that only lugnet members can vote, another - there is not that interest in that as there used to be, (...) (21 years ago, 2-Sep-03, to lugnet.general)
